Before I was pink
Once upon a time, I had wall-to-wall carpet and an elaborate inlaid wood paneled wall. Then came Allee.
Well, hello. I’m Willis Wonderland (yes, the house!).
Born in 1937.
Reborn in 1980 when Allee Willis moved in and began turning me into the bubblegum-pink palace of atomic kitsch I am today.
Stick around. I’ve seen it all, and I have stories to tell.
If you’ve been here, you know just how special I am (if I do say so myself).
If you haven’t, buckle up. You’re about to find out.
Allee liked to say I was the MGM party house back in the day.
Is it true?
Let’s just say what happens at the MGM party house stays at the MGM party house.
I have good bones. Great lines. A cool look.
But back then, I was understated. A home in the Valley with quiet charm.
All glowed-up
Here’s me, pre-Allee sometime in the 1970s, and post-Allee these days. Big difference, right?
Before the pink. Before the kitsch.
Before Allee came in and got her hands on me.
Let’s just say I’ve had a little work done, and I look fabulous.

Turns out these walls can talk. And honey, I’ve got stories.
Big thanks to the Willis Wonderland Foundation for giving me a voice.
