Grief birds
Shared today in remembrance of Allee
It was six years today that Allee passed away.
Prudence, Allee’s partner of 28 years, coped with the great loss by illustrating birds, grief birds.
One a day for six months. Small creatures with big eyes and even bigger feelings. Fear, anger, loneliness, confusion. It was one way she stayed connected to Allee.
See some of Prudence’s grief birds and listen to her share that part of her journey in her own words:
We miss you, Allee. Sending lots of love to everyone who misses her too.

Big thanks to the Willis Wonderland Foundation for giving me a voice.

Share the magic, not the whole script.
Look, I adore being talked about. That’s how stories spread and legacies live on. So yes, share a photo, a GIF, a quote (just a snippet, not the entire post please). Just be sure to credit the Willis Wonderland Foundation and link back. All images and GIFs are licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0. That means you can share them with credit, just not for anything commercial.

Beautiful.
